Health Insurance: Berkshire Health Plan (BHP)

Scheduled 48 hours or more per bi-weekly pay period.

Upon the 1st of the month following employment. Comprehensive health care program as described in orientation booklet.  Enrollment is not automatic and staff member must attend General Orientation to enroll.
Holidays

Upon employment. Six paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
Holidays Worked

Upon employment. Time and one half pay.  Full-time staff members also get another day off.
Jury Duty

Upon employment. Staff member is paid the difference between what staff member would have earned at full pay and what staff member was paid for each jury duty day.
Liability Insurance

Upon employment. Staff member is fully covered under company liability insurance program with complete malpractice insurance.
Life Insurance

Scheduled 32 hours or more per bi-weekly pay period.

After 6 months of employment. Staff members receive death benefits equal to their annual salary to the next increment of $500. A reduced amount is received after age 75.
Long-Term Disability

Scheduled 32 hours or more per bi-weekly pay period.

After 6 months of employment. An income protection plan which provides up to 60% of a staff member’s salary after 90 days of continuous total disability.
National Guard and Reserve Duty

Upon employment. If called in an emergency – difference between stipend as a reservist and current salary up to 90 days.
