Memory Care

Life can be a challenge of confusion and fear for those with memory impairment. By providing comfort in the form of real friendship and compassion, our team members begin to feel like family and our neighborhood more and more like home for our Memory Care residents. Our 18 private suites with private baths begin at $407 a day which include delicious meals, activities, and more with others.

Heather Court residents may participate in engaging activities like art, music, and pet therapies with neighbors or spend quiet time with one of our team members exploring our enclosed garden courtyard through walking paths and shady patios.

Sample Activities

Residents are given space to sing, dance, and live a full life with activities that not just nurture but that also leaves room for reminiscing.

Music

It is proven that music is very powerful when working with individuals who have dementia. Embracing this ideology, we offer a variety of music programs developed to be cognitively stimulating, emotionally soothing and capable of touching the deepest memories of the individual. Some of these programs include sing-alongs, music therapy visits, rhythm circles, and Music Bingo.

Cognitive Stimulation

The Activities Program strives to stimulate and retain the cognitive abilities that our residents still have. To do this, we utilize trivia, word games, basic math puzzles, reminiscing, and reading circles.

Technology

The IN2L (It’s Never 2 Late) computer system is designed for individuals who have dementia. The system features a wide variety of apps that offer cognitive stimulation, relaxation techniques, exercise, reminiscing and just plain fun. Our mobile system offers capabilities for group, 1 to 1 and in room use of the system.
