The Highlands at Wyomissing (THAW) provides information notifications to staff members through SMS alerts. This policy outlines the terms, conditions, and privacy practices governing the use of SMS messaging for internal notifications for our call bell and wander management systems. Our goal is to ensure responsible use of SMS communication while protecting staff privacy and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
SMS alerts are intended solely for internal use and are distributed exclusively to THAW staff members for call bell and wander guard alerts. These notifications are not sent to residents, visitors, or external parties.
Mobile Number Collection and Storage
Mobile numbers are collected directly from staff members by submitting an authorization form requesting to be added (Opt-In) to SMS alerts. All mobile numbers are stored securely.
Mobile numbers are collected directly from staff members by submitting an authorization form requesting to be added (Opt-In) to SMS alerts. This process ensures that only individuals who have provided explicit consent are included in the SMS notification system. The authorization form requires staff to confirm their mobile number and acknowledge their agreement to receive internal alerts related to call bell and wander management systems. Once submitted, all mobile numbers are stored securely using industry-standard data protection measures, such as encryption and restricted access protocols. Only authorized personnel responsible for managing SMS communications have access to these records, and the information is maintained in accordance with privacy and confidentiality policies to safeguard staff data.
THAW will not share, sell, or disclose staff mobile numbers or consent data to unauthorized third parties. All information collected for SMS alerts remains confidential and is used solely for internal communication purposes for call bell and wander guard notifications.
You will receive SMS alerts as needed, based on operational requirements and urgent internal notifications. The frequency of messages may vary, but alerts will only be sent when necessary to keep staff informed.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. THAW is not responsible for any charges incurred by staff members for receiving SMS alerts.
Staff members may opt out of SMS alerts at any time. To unsubscribe, simply reply “STOP” to any SMS message received from THAW. Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications unless you choose to re-enroll.
THAW is committed to responsible SMS use and adheres to all applicable regulations, including A2P 10LDC requirements. We regularly review our practices to ensure ongoing compliance and staff data protection.
